Youth Apprentice - Electrical
About The Position
Roman Electric Co., Inc. is offering a Youth Apprenticeship opportunity for high school students interested in exploring a career in the electrical trade. This position provides hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians while learning the fundamentals of electrical installation, jobsite safety, and the electrical industry. This role is part of the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship – Architecture & Construction pathway , combining real jobsite experience with related classroom instruction. Youth Apprentices may gain experience in commercial construction environments or residential electrical service and installation , depending on company needs and learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Current high school student participating or able to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program
- Interest in electrical or construction trades
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable attendance and transportation
Nice To Haves
- Students that are available 7am-11am (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with material handling and jobsite preparation
- Help organize tools and materials for projects
- Observe and support electrical installation activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Track required Youth Apprenticeship learning competencies
