THE ROLE As a Part-Time Teen Transition Mentor, you’ll play a key role in our youth services program, supporting youth with disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Every day will be different, making this a fun and fulfilling opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact. This position may include but not be limited to: direct support and potential case management duties to individuals served on caseload, support and collaboration with departmental management team for service quality.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Meet the State of Wisconsin’s minimum auto insurance requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including occasional weekend availability.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to youth participants with disabilities.
- Assist during after-school hours (2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) and adjust to summer schedules (7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.).
- Work collaboratively with the Aptiv team to help youth develop independence, social, and life skills.
- Mentor participants one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Teach emotional regulation, coping, and anger management strategies.
- Maintain consistency, strong communication, and accurate, up-to-date documentation.
