About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Clinician to provide high-quality behavioral health services to youth and families. This role focuses on delivering individual, group, and family therapy, supporting recovery through trauma-informed care, and collaborating with families, schools, and community partners. Services may be provided in office and community-based settings, including youth’s natural environments. This temporary part-time PRN position will be based out of our Granite City, IL office. Requirements

  • Must have a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable (when applicable)
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR)

Responsibilities

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation, including assessments, treatment/recovery plans, and progress notes in accordance with agency and funder requirements
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on client-centered treatment and recovery plans while maintaining required productivity standards
  • Deliver services in office and community settings, including youth’s home, school, or other natural environments when appropriate
  • Use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and developmentally appropriate interventions
  • Support youth and families by connecting them to community resources and providing advocacy as needed
  • Maintain regular communication with families, schools, probation officers, and other involved supports to ensure coordinated care
  • Promote recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care that emphasizes hope, respect, empowerment, and overall wellness
  • Participate in meetings, staffings, supervision, trainings, and program development activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance within the team, taking initiative with minimal supervision
  • Support team members and provide backup coverage as needed
  • Demonstrate strong customer service aligned with Chestnut’s standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect all client and organizational information
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
