About The Position

The Youth and Adolescent Clinical Coordinator will work closely with youth aged 12-25 and their families, coordinating with community partners to enhance access to services for adolescents at risk for substance use disorders and those experiencing co-occurring mental health issues. The role involves engaging clients in therapeutic processes, providing counseling, and facilitating care coordination to improve youth and family participation in treatment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or in a human services field.
• Drivers license required.
• Prior experience working with children and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage clients and family members in the therapeutic process utilizing a variety of strategies at the youth center and in community settings.
• Provide individual counseling utilizing a variety of interventions e.g. motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and stages of change to address youth and family needs.
• Assist in the development of therapeutic groups for youth and family members that promote health and wellness including mental health, self-esteem building, co-occurring conditions, and substance use.
• Participate in marketing and promotional events to promote the program, increase enrollment, and provide education related to substance use and recovery.
• Provide training to staff as needed around therapeutic interventions and trauma informed care.
• Provide care coordination between providers in various settings to improve youth and family participation and engagement.
• Assess clients on an ongoing basis, provide support services and crisis intervention as needed.
