About The Position
As a Youth Activities Counselor at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging environment for children aged 5 to 12. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate various programs and activities that promote enjoyment and learning among the children. You will be tasked with handling registration, check-in, and check-out functions for the Youth Activities areas, ensuring that all children are safe and secure while participating in these activities. Your role will also involve maintaining a clean and tidy environment in the Youth Activities spaces, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensuring that the areas are welcoming and enjoyable for all guests. In addition to facilitating activities, you will be expected to interact with children in a friendly and engaging manner, acting as a mentor for new Cast Members and providing guidance and support as needed. You will need to be available and guest-service oriented at all times, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued. Your ability to command the attention of large groups of children and your strong verbal communication skills will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the children and their parents. This position requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to engage in repetitive tasks, such as prepping and planning activities and crafts. You will also need to be culturally aware and able to motivate children of all ages and backgrounds. Your experience and skills will contribute to the overall success of the Youth Activities programs at Disney's Aulani Resort, making it a memorable experience for all participants.
