About The Position

The Young Life Area Intern position is a part-time, fully remote role based in Colorado Springs, CO. This internship focuses on spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry, and ministry support within the Young Life community. Interns are expected to actively participate in the spiritual life of the community, engage in leadership training, assist in resource development, and support direct ministry efforts. The role emphasizes the importance of building relationships, effective communication, and maintaining professionalism in all aspects of ministry work.

Requirements

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Age 18-26, according to grant requirements.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines within a parish community.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
• Meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership regularly.
• Learn how staff recruit and train new volunteers.
• Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, camping, and committee.
• Assist staff in communicating ministry updates to donors.
• Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community.
• Engage in contact work with students and adults as directed.
• Help lead a team to plan and conduct Young Life club and Campaigners ministry.
• Implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
• Adhere to Young Life policies and maintain professionalism.
• Manage finances with stewardship and transparency.
• Maintain accurate records of kids, leaders, and donors.
• Provide clear and professional communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
