About The Position

OpenDor Media is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive YouTube Content & Channel Coordinator to provide maternity leave coverage for 4-6 months beginning in November, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role. This position is central to managing multiple YouTube channels, ensuring smooth publishing workflows, optimizing video performance, and maintaining consistent audience engagement. The ideal candidate has strong copywriting and organizational skills, a good eye for visuals, and comfort working with video platforms and analytics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on balancing creativity with operational precision. The position is full-time and reports to our Creative Director.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience crafting compelling video descriptions and titles.
  • Familiarity with YouTube Studio and video publishing workflows.
  • Familiarity with YouTube strategies with its search and algorithmic behavior.
  • Proficiency with LLM/AI tools.
  • Comfort with data tools (Airtable, Google Sheets/Excel) for maintaining and analyzing content performance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple recurring deadlines.
  • Proactive communicator who can work collaboratively with creative, fundraising, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Content publishing & optimization: Write video descriptions, titles, and chapter markers for multiple YouTube channels, ensuring consistency and accuracy across weekly and bi-weekly flagship shows.
  • Plan and direct thumbnail content aligned with channel branding and engagement strategies.
  • Manage video uploads, including ordering captions, metadata entry, and cross-posting to websites.
  • Maintain Airtable records for content tracking and data accuracy.
  • Post weekly community updates across three active channels.
  • Monitor and report comments relevant to development teams.
  • Conduct light data analysis to recommend videos for boosting and ad placement.
  • Data entry for ongoing subscriber ads analysis.
  • Data entry for ongoing video success prediction analysis.
  • Support reporting for development and marketing teams with YouTube and social data.
  • Perform upkeep of performance-related data dashboards (Airtable + spreadsheets).
  • Review video scripts and drafts for alignment with brand guidelines and keywording/sensitivity considerations.
  • Ensure captions and metadata meet accessibility and compliance standards.
