YOGA INSTRUCTOR
About The Position
Gulfport Behavioral Health System, is a 92-bed psychiatric hospital offering child, adolescent, adult and military service behavioral health programs and treatment services. For more information, please visit us at www.gulfportbehavioral.com/ Position Summary: As a member of the Recreation Therapy team, the Part-time Yoga Instructor will lead group yoga classes for assigned patient groups - Children (ages 4-12), Adolescents (age 13-17) and Adults (ages 18+). The Instructor will design curriculum and lead groups through various levels and types of yoga practice to enhance the spiritual wellness of assigned patient groups. The schedule will be every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Yoga Therapy or Hatha Yoga Instruction Certification or Training through an accredited yoga training program.
- 1 year yoga teaching experience required.
- CPI certification obtained during hospital orientation.
- Completion of hospital orientation requirements.
- Maintains compliance with all Hospital policies and requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in healthcare setting preferred.
