About The Position

Sonora Behavioral Health is Tucson’s leading behavioral health hospital with 140 beds. Our hospital serves children, adolescents, and adults in an acute hospital setting. We are seeking passionate, hard-working, and skilled individuals to join our team of professionals. PURPOSE STATEMENT: Plan and supervise Yoga activities for patients.

Requirements

• Completion of a vocational training or certificate program in yoga instruction required.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all related equipment.
• Document patient participation in the session and the progress with treatment goals.
• Assist in developing individualized yoga/fitness programs for patients.
• Communicate as needed with program staff.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.
• When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
• Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
