Requirements

  • Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)- Required
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care principles- Required
  • At least 200 hours of yoga teacher training.
  • Experience teaching yoga to adolescents and adults- Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree- Preferred
  • Experience teaching yoga in a mental healthcare setting- Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates yoga groups during scheduled programming times in accordance with patients' physical, social, and emotional needs.
  • Plans and facilitates yoga group lessons to support patients in a mental heathcare setting.
  • Teaches yoga aligned with Health At Every Size (HAES) principles.
  • Interacts with patients in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Manages patient sign in sheet for each group.
  • Reports any concerns to clinical leadership.
