About The Position

The YL Staff Associate I position at Young Life involves learning how to effectively carry out and manage Young Life ministry through both formal training and direct field ministry experience. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
  • Seek and maintain relationships within a church community.
  • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
  • Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
  • Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
  • Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
  • Assist in training leaders and developing a yearly ministry strategy.
  • Raise financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
  • Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners.
  • Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community.
  • Plan and execute area fundraising events.
  • Engage in all levels of contact work.
  • Lead a team to plan and conduct Young Life club and Campaigners.
  • Implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
  • Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.
  • Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures.
  • Manage finances with stewardship and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors.
  • Provide clear and professional communication.
  • Set yearly strategic ministry plans and review them regularly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
