Yellow Iron Technician

About The Position
As a Yellow Iron Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and performance of heavy equipment used in daily operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment (yellow iron), preferably in waste, construction, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently
- Ability to work in outdoor environments andlift upto 50+lbs
Nice To Haves
- Experience with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, or similar preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, skid steers, and dozers
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and completetimelyrepairs
- Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and compliance
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- Maintainaccurateservice records and work orders
- Work closely with operations to minimize equipment downtime
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
