Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, is looking for a Year-Round PC&L Intern for our location in Arlington, Texas. The PC&L Intern will measure, analyze, and optimize the PC&L operation in the Plant to ensure long-term success while reinforcing safety in day-to-day logistics operations. The main missions of the role include analyzing material flow inside the Plant, proposing new layouts based on the Just Needed Inventory methodology, identifying potential inventory reductions, and developing a Plan For Every Part (PFEP). Additionally, the intern will work on increasing the overall Master Data metric in ERP (SAP) and implement logistics basics while managing and training logistics operators.

Analyze material flow inside the Plant and update the Material Information Flow Diagram (MIFD).
Propose new layout based on the Just Needed Inventory (JNI) methodology.
Identify potential inventory reductions in the warehouse and map current vs ideal warehouse utilization.
Identify potential changes/savings in current routes from intercompany suppliers.
Develop a Plan For Every Part (PFEP).
Increase overall Master Data metric to 97% in ERP (SAP).
Conduct implementation of logistics basics, booking operations, traceability, labeling, and container management.
Look for productivity gains.
Manage, train, and coach logistics operators team.

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in production or an industrial environment preferred.
Past training or coaching experience preferred.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Above average people and organizational skills.
Willingness to work required overtime.

High levels of organization while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.
Problem-solving skills with a realistic understanding of issues.
