About The Position

Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, is looking for a year-round Continuous Improvement Intern for its location in Columbus, Indiana. The intern will contribute to the Clean Mobility Division, which is focused on developing cutting-edge solutions for smart life on board and sustainable mobility. This role involves establishing standards based on Division Best Practices, developing model line and game concepts, maintaining the FES Share place and training calendar, coaching and training production employees, updating and creating standardized work instructions, participating in plant workshops, and improving direct labor efficiency.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical
• Seeking college internship with the possibility of becoming a full-time position within the FES function at Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies
• Knowledge from course work or job experience in Lean Manufacturing
• Ability to travel while working internship
• Strong computer skills, high level organization skills, and good communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Windows-based software
• Helpful to have knowledge of Access, visual basic or equivalent
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Responsibilities

• Establish standards for the Division based on Division Best Practices
• Develop model line and game concepts
• Maintain the FES Share place and training calendar
• Coaching and training production employees
• Update/create standardized work instructions
• Participating in plant workshops (Hoshin, SMED, OEE)
• Improving direct labour efficiency by productivity
• Production lines alignment with Production system standard assessment
