The Year 2 Exam Coordinator at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) plays a crucial role in the administration and coordination of examinations for second-year students in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. This position is responsible for developing and managing the Year 2 exam schedule, which includes creating item request charts, tracking submissions from faculty, and ensuring timely follow-ups. The coordinator will collate Year 2 exams and enter exam items into ExamSoft, ensuring that all necessary tags and classifications are applied correctly. In addition to exam preparation, the coordinator will schedule, coordinate, and participate in exam meetings with course leaders, question writers, and relevant deans to draft and review exams. This includes editing exam items as needed based on feedback. The coordinator will also provide students with essential exam information, such as seating arrangements and download codes, while addressing any inquiries related to exam administration. Technical support for electronic exams will also be part of the role, assisting students with upload issues and other related concerns. The Year 2 Exam Coordinator will prepare all necessary materials for exam administration, including proctoring materials, and may assist with proctoring during exams. After exams, the coordinator will process scoring, applying statistical analysis to evaluate exam performance, and share results with faculty and administrators. Posting exam scores on the university's platform and maintaining course grade sheets for review by deans are also key responsibilities. The coordinator will generate performance lists for academic enrichment specialists and track student exam lateness and missed exams, conducting follow-ups as necessary. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with board exam preparation initiatives related to Year 2 course scores and serve as a backup for the Year 1 Exam Coordinator when needed. Other duties may be assigned as required.
