About the role: The Yarn Prep Operator sets up and runs equipment to prepare incoming materials for the textile manufacturing process. 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am with training on 1st shift for approximately 6 months What you will do: Obtains training and knowledge for operating various types of Yarn Prep machinery. Provides flexibility to run many different process and machines. Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions to set up and operate the textile equipment they are trained to operate. Visually inspects product as it is running on their machine and documents/reports defects onto the production records and/or to their supervisor or quality team member. Performs tasks in accordance with applicable Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications. Labels and packages product as per internal specifications. Enters information and uses ERP system to report quantities and time spent on jobs. Maintains clean machinery, parts, and surrounding area. Completes all associated paperwork & ERP tasks as required. Handles and weighs raw materials, cones, warps, and applicable textile processing tools as needed to perform their job. Other duties as assigned.
