About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Member will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers throughout the facility. Team Member will be responsible for proper communication with the area supervisor to ensure the correct placement of trailers using the yard management system. Team Member will be responsible to make sure all loads are correctly loaded/secure to reduce damage and delays in shipments. Team Member will be responsible to provide outstanding service to Distribution Center by maintaining attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner. Team Member will be responsible to perform safety checks of truck and trailers to ensure they are on proper working condition. Team Member will work for the Site GM and have staff authority of the Distribution Center personnel for Yard Horses. Team Member will keep the Site Manager and DC Operations personnel informed of all problems that affect efficient operations. Team Member will be responsible for monitoring all Yard Horse processes, including developing uniform procedures to improve Yard Horse efficiency and develop reporting to track performance. Team Member will ensure KPI’s and standardized goals are met. Team Member will work with the Fleet Manager to ensure all Menard owned equipment is properly maintained and on the road at all times. Team Member will ensure proper training is in LMS and complete for each team member at your site. Team Member will be responsible to make written request for additional equipment to support Site Yard Horse operations. Team Member will submit request with proper documentation to Site Manager, Distribution Center Operations Advisor and General Manager of Distribution for review.

Requirements

Must possess a good driving record
Experience operating tractor/trailer or willingness to learn
Proof of valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

CDL license preferred but not required
Enjoy working outdoors

Responsibilities

Make sure all loads are correctly loaded/secure to reduce damage and delays in shipments.
Provide outstanding service to Distribution Center by maintaining attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner.
Perform safety checks of truck and trailers to ensure they are on proper working condition.
