About The Position

In this position, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to safely and efficiently load and unload Mutual Materials products such as brick, pavers, blocks, and other hardscape material. While forklift operation will be your primary duty, you may also be required to hand-load customer vehicles as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the yard, managing inventory, breaking down pallets, and handling shipping and receiving documentation. This position requires outdoor work and is subject to all weather conditions. As this is a customer-facing role, providing exceptional service is essential to maintaining and promoting positive customer relationships. On the job training will be provided to all New Hires by experienced Mutual Materials employees. This is a full-time job, Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm.

Requirements

• Great customer service skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced distribution team
• Physical capacity to lift 70+ pounds on an occasional basis
• Able to be on your feet for most of the day
• Bending, twisting, and lifting are essential for this position
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

• Similar/related work experience in the building materials industry is preferred
• OSHA certified forklift certification/ experience is preferred
• Previous experience with masonry products, stone and/or construction practices a plus
