About The Position

The position at Steel Dynamics involves the safe movement and marshalling of rail cars, along with various other duties assigned by the leadman or supervisor. Requirements

• Practical computer skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment

• Skills sufficient to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and upkeep of equipment
• 2-Year verifiable work experience in an industrial environment

Responsibilities

• Working safely and following all safety procedures
• Safely operate rail switches throughout the plant
• Cross-train on locomotives, track-mobiles, forklifts, track cranes, scales, and service vehicles
• Cover shifts and fill in for overtime when necessary
