About The Position

TOPY America Inc. is a world class manufacturer of steel wheels for a variety of automotive manufacturers including General Motors, Ford, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru. We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials.

JOB SUMMARY

Under routine supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading.

Requirements

• CDL-Class A
• Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role
• Ability to comfortably operate a semi-truck with a trailer
• Experience operating a forklift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to perform all physical motions, i.e., twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and walking on uneven ground.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on equipment before and after use
• Move trailers and other equipment around the yard
• Communicate with other personnel to coordinate movements
• Maintain a well- organized yard
• Operate forklift to move materials, as needed
• Assist with other duties as assigned
