About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Class A Yard Drivers to join our team. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $28.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours, and you will be home daily. You will be driving late model Penske Truck Leasing trucks that are designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety for all. As a Class A Yard Driver, you will be responsible for moving trailers in and out of the dock as directed by management, coupling and uncoupling trailers, and chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license required
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency required
• Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
• Couple and uncouple trailers
• Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading
• Pull trailers from doors
