About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking a full-time Warehouse/Class A Yard Driver. This position involves a mix of yard driving and warehouse work, with a focus on moving trailers in and out of the dock, as well as performing various warehouse tasks. The role requires a valid CDL Class A license and offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.50, with overtime pay after 40 hours. The work schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, starting at 6 am for 10-hour shifts on average.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• English language proficiency required.
• Ability to work the required schedule and location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers in and out of dock as directed by leadership.
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading.
• Utilizing a clamp truck to accurately stage and sort products for loading.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Sorting and placing parts in racks or other designated areas.
• Stacking cardboard boxes and pallets.
• Packaging or kitting finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Electronically scanning products using a warehouse management system.
