About The Position

Northstar Energy Solutions is looking for a Yard Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a yard, including managing and supervising yard personnel, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained. This position requires field work, which may include overtime, weekends, holidays, off-hours, and working in inclement weather.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain accurate inventory of supplies and assets across all assigned locations
• Supervise yard personnel and assign tasks as necessary
• Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and followed
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures
• Maintain records and reports on yard activities
• Participate in hiring and training of yard personnel
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed
• Manage budget and expenses for the yard
• Maintain landscape, fencing and all grounds maintenance
• Oversee all aspects of facility upkeep, including housekeeping, cleanliness, and general maintenance
• Ensure proper wash rack maintenance and usage
• Wash all units upon arrival
