About The Position

Caterpillar Product Support and Logistics Division is currently recruiting for Yard Preservation- Warehouse Associate positions in their Victoria, Texas facility! As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar, you will perform a variety of functions to check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects. This role ensures that supplier parts stored outdoors are maintained in excellent condition until they are ready for assembly. Please Note: This position will have set training hours before you can flex your schedule

Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
Infrequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to be trained with various tools
Willingness to potentially be trained on forklift, cherry pickers, etc.

Responsibilities

Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
Preserve supplier parts stored in the yard prior to assembly processes.
Use hand tools to remove corrosion and apply rust preventative to metal surfaces
Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities
Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members for clarity and escalation when needed.
Work Independently with minimal supervision
Perform duties in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
Execute tasks with a high level of attention to detail and thoroughness
