About The Position

PICKER About Us Builders Supply is the Midwest’s largest independently owned lumberyard, owned 100% by its employees. For more than 70 years, Builders Supply has provided service to contractors and the public for all of their commercial and residential building needs. DESCRIPTION As a Picker you will be responsible for collecting building materials from order forms to build loads for deliveries or for customers on site.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Follow safety protocols
• Reliable, self-starter attitude
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (physical, drug test and lifting test)
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
• Minimally must be able to lift >50 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

• Build loads for deliveries
• Load and unload building materials
• Operate a forklift (will train)
• Assist customers picking up building materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
