About The Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe Painting, stenciling, coating pipes Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed. Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area Will assist in spraying each pipe (using lacquer) After 10-15 minutes of drying time, the Helper will turn the pipes and repeat the process After drying, the Helper will assist the Lead to mark each pipe by stenciling (this identifies the grade and size of each pipe) Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders and staircases Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain Ability to wear Respiratory PPE mask Qualifications
Requirements
- Ability to Spray Paint using an Air Gun
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
- Reliable transportation
- Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation.
- Positive attitude; good team player
- Ability to drive a Truck
