Valley Services is a family-owned residential and construction solutions provider conveniently located in the heart of downtown San Jose. It consists of three divisions: the transfer station, rental toilets, fencing, and dumpsters. By joining the Valley Team, you will become a member of the crew As a member of the Yard Operations Crew, you play a vital role in keeping our yard running safely, efficiently, and organized throughout the day. This position supports daily operations by maintaining yard cleanliness, assisting customers and team members, managing materials, and helping ensure a smooth disposal experience for every visitor. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to safety, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Requirements
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, and during emergency conditions
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be proficient in English

Responsibilities
- Perform daily yard maintenance, including sweeping, organizing, and debris removal
- Pull material from piles and sort into designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughoutthe yard and work areas
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed
- Support organization and maintenance of yard inventory
- Direct customers and traffic safely when required
- Hand pull special items and conduct load checks for prohibited or add-on materials
- Follow company safety standards and participate in regular safety meetings and training
- Support team members across various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Work comfortably in outdoor environments, including dirt and dust conditions
- Remain on feet for extended periods during shifts
