About The Position

The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing daily yard operations within the marina while leading and supporting yard staff to meet customer service objectives. This role ensures all marina procedures and processes related to yard functions are consistently implemented and followed.

Requirements

• Prior work history in a supervisor position in a mechanical, marine, or operational capacity is preferred
• Must have highly effective communication and time management skills
• Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop, and motivate team members
• Oversee vehicle operators, material movers, and any other relevant yard-related team members
• Monitor yard inventory and purchases
• Supervise and maintain the yard fence facility and equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with the company's equipment and safety requirements
• Identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures or repair
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to the General Manager
