About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking a Yard Loader to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Yard Loader and maintaining the quality of product stockpiles. The Yard Loader operator will maintain safe working speeds and promote site safety by asserting leadership of truck drivers onsite. Hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants
• Have experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Yard Loader
• Maintain the quality of product stockpiles
• Complete daily pre and post inspection of working areas
• Ensure working areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs to the supervisor
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles, and crushers
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
