Yard Loader Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You’ll Be Doing Safely operate loaders and related heavy equipment to move, load, and stockpile materials. Load customer and plant trucks accurately and efficiently. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance. Support yard operations by communicating clearly with plant, scale, and dispatch personnel. Maintain a safe, orderly, and compliant work area at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and confidently in an active yard environment.
- Strong awareness of surroundings and dedication to safe work practices.
- Capability to follow operational instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Reliability and attention to detail when handling materials and documenting activities.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
