About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Yard Laborer position will be responsible for torching larger pieces of metal, moving materials and purchasing scrap from walk-in customers. REPORTS TO: Yard Manager SUPERVISES: N/A
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred but not required.
- Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Torching large pieces of Metal
- Assisting customers.
- Unloading customer’s items.
- Identifying materials (prepared and unprepared).
- Purchasing items at correct price.
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
