About The Position
The Yard Jockey, Freight Consolidation is responsible for the safe movement and repositioning of trailers within the RLS yard.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CDL Class A
- Work outdoors in all four seasons
- Frequent in/out of yard tractor
- Be Humble, Stay Hungry, and Live Smart
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in accordance with company safety policies
- Safely and accurately reposition trailers within the yard and into appropriate doors
- Check and fill yard truck fluids
- Perform preventive maintenance on yard trucks
- Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by the Warehouse Manager
- Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to a team-focused work environment
