About The Position

This position follows all responsibilities for a Yard Jockey for general warehouse and materials management with the added responsibility of on-site Saxonburg tractor driving and trailer management. Responsibilities include physical and transactional movement of material supporting a manufacturing plant, or service logistics operation. The scope of these responsibilities will occur within one or more material logistics functions (Warehousing, Receiving, Material Handling, and Shipping, or PS site specific responsibility such as pre-sterile material management). Position is responsible for managing paperwork including all trailer and drive logs. The role will average around 90-95% Material Handling and 5-10% Yard Jockey. This role has increased demonstrated technical and DSO expectations across multiple disciplines within materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1+ years experience in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Ability to operate independently
Demonstrated problem solving abilities
Strong attention to detail
Powered industrial truck (fork truck) certification required
Ability to work in team environment
SAP proficiency in daily transactions in one primary logistic function.

Responsibilities

Driving tractor trailer and transporting raw material and finished goods on-site Saxonburg
Complete paperwork to ensure PA DOT compliance
Work with receiving/shipping team on daily activities and trucking plan
Advanced understanding of multiple warehouse and materials functions
Following of all documented processes and procedures
Physical transport of materials and timely and accurate completion for all required SAP transactions using appropriate PPE and material handling equipment
Finished product packaging using visual work instructions according to all regulatory requirements
Completion of all required transactional steps to receive and ship material
Identifying, defining and implementing process improvement or cost savings activities.
