About The Position

The Yard Jockey is responsible for supporting the production and assembly of windows and entry door products by safely operating a spotter truck to move trailers around the yard. This role requires flexibility in tasks, strong communication skills, and a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Current CDL required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, measurement devices, and operating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate spotter truck to move trailers to and from loading docks.
• Learn and rotate between various positions on the production floor, depending on business needs.
• Safely work with moving equipment and follow all safety guidelines.
• Use hand tools and machinery as required.
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals while adhering to quality standards and safety procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure the products meet company standards.
