The position involves jockeying trailers under the direction of a supervisor or foreman, loading trucks as needed, and performing all other assigned duties. The job requires preparation for the day by completing a Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) for the jockey truck and forklift (if applicable), as well as organizing and cleaning the work area. The primary responsibilities include moving trailers from the lot to dock doors and back, working with the foreman and supervisor to move raw material loads, installing and removing trailer stands, and ensuring proper loading procedures are followed. This includes reviewing Bills of Lading (BOL) for products to be loaded, completing final certifications for outbound loads, and processing paperwork in the National Inventory System (NIS). Maintaining proper housekeeping standards in the work area is also essential.
