About The Position

The Yard Jockey, Freight Consolidation is responsible for the movement and repositioning of trailers within the RLS yard. This role involves operating equipment in accordance with company safety policies, safely and accurately repositioning trailers within the yard and into appropriate doors, checking and filling yard truck fluids, and performing preventive maintenance of the yard truck. The Yard Jockey must attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by the Warehouse Manager and is expected to work as a team to get the job done.

Requirements

• Education: High School (GED)
• License or Certification: CDL Class A
• Minimum Physical requirements: Work outside in all four seasons / In & out of tractor constantly.
• Minimum Behavior requirements: Be Humble, Stay Hungry and Live Smart.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Safely and accurately reposition trailers within the yard and into appropriate doors.
• Responsible for checking and filling yard truck fluids.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of yard truck.
• Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by the Warehouse Manager.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
