About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a yard switching position moving 48ft tractor trailers and 28ft straight trucks throughout the yard and to docks using a yard horse. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various start times are required in order to successfully meet the business needs. CDL CLASS A REQUIRED MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE NEWARK, NJ FOR TRAINING COMMUTING EXPENSE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED TO RESIDENTS OF BROOKLYN, QUEENS, LONG ISLAND, BRONX CDL A $31.50/ hr. (1 years' experience as a Yard Jockey or Switcher with the CDL A required) $7,000 sign-on bonus Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan, Life Insurance Time off Package which includes Vacation, Sick and Holidays No touch freight or heavy lifting Shift: TRAINING SCHEDULE : Sunday - Thursday, 6pm - 2am Days off: Friday and Saturday Permanent schedule is subject to change once training is completed. 21+ years of age Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean MVR A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Yard Jockey or switcher with the CDL Possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate Card Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Employment Verification). Must be able to pass a Clearing House Query Ability to work in all weather conditions Experience using a yard horse preferred but not required Must have the availability to work overtime hours,and holiday's
Requirements
- CDL CLASS A REQUIRED
