The Opportunity We are seeking a Hostler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving trailers within the yard to designated dock doors, staging areas, or storage locations. This position is integral to ensuring efficient yard operations, improving trailer flow, and supporting overall logistics efficiency. You will work closely with the terminal, dispatch, and driver teams to ensure seamless transportation operations.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Previous experience as a Hostler, Yard Jockey, or similar transportation role preferred.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Trailer Movement: Safely move trailers between assigned locations within the yard.
Equipment Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trailers and yard trucks.
Safety Compliance: Ensure trailers are properly secured and follow all safety protocols.
Communication: Coordinate with dispatch, leadership, and drivers to optimize workflow.
Dock Work: Assist with loading/unloading or moving freight when needed.
