About The Position

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating hand tools and hand held technical devices.
• Must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and yard instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the transfer and production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Follow the Forklift operator’s instruction during transfers and housekeeping operations.
• Employee will assist in the verification of all loading and unloading of material for quality assurance.
• Assists in Inventory Control for verification of counts and material.
• The employee is responsible for the assisting of racking of material per instruction.
• Communicating to Yard Lead-Man any problems with material, racks, or trucks.
• Ensure the equipment to be operated is in good conditions.
• Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
