About The Position

Responsible for the proper receipt, storage, and loading of raw materials for production. Additionally, accountable for conducting routine maintenance on plant equipment and ensuring the yard area is well -maintained and organized.

Requirements

Valid/current NC CDL.
Experience with general or routine maintenance tasks.
Capability to safely operate a front -end loader.
Proven ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to read, write, and distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

Conducts daily routine inspections of compressors and "bag" houses to verify that equipment is functioning correctly.
Prepares equipment for the morning start -up of the plant.
Monitors incoming raw materials to confirm compliance with required specifications.
Operates a front -end loader to unload raw materials and place them in the appropriate storage bins.
Retrieves the necessary material with a front -end loader as per the specifications provided by the batch operator and loads it into the correct bin for processing.
Conducts physical inventory of raw materials as required.
Performs routine maintenance on front -end loaders, compressors, "bag" houses, pumps, valves, and reclaimers.
Conducts regular inspections of material silos to ensure cleanliness and prevent material blockages.
Undertakes general housekeeping duties in and around the plant building and yard as necessary, including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and cutting grass.
Ensures the overall orderly organization of equipment and supplies in and around the yard and plant.
Inspects and maintains the dust system.
Preserves the cleanliness and appearance of the concrete reclaimer pond.
Operates a concrete mixer truck as required based on customer demands.
Performs other duties as assigned by the plant manager.
