About The Position

Hudson Garbage Service, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Yard Helper to join our team in St. Helens, Oregon! The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Start time is 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM or until work is complete (end time varies). Starting wage is $24.00/hour. Requirements

At least 1 year of work experience. Preferably in a laborer type role.
The ability to stand outside throughout an 8 hour shift.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and push/pull 100 lbs.
Ability and will to work in all weather conditions.
Must pass drug screen, motor vehicle report and pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience running equipment (forklift, loader or baler) preferred.

Responsibilities

Yard and facility maintenance including debris and oil spot clean up
Pressure washing of carts, portable toilets, equipment, parts, and storage areas as needed
Picking up and sweeping windblown trash
Running of errands, driving (non-CDL), picking up parts, cart/portable toilet deliveries
Various utility tasks as needed
Learning the operations of both hauling & transfer station
Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
During the summer season support portable toilet routes as needed
