About The Position

High Steel Structures is one of the largest steel fabricators in North America. The company produces steel superstructures for bridges, including some of the most iconic structures in the nation. The company also supplies girders and weldments for construction and industrial applications. We are currently hiring for a Yard Groundsperson on 3rd shift, in Lancaster, PA. Third-shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential, and work 4 nights per week, Mon-Thurs, 8:30pm - 7:00am.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work outdoors, 100% of the time, in all weather conditions.
• Previous yard or general laborer experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools, including drills.
• Forklift certification desired, or willingness to obtain while on the job.
• The ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Valid PA driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required duties to pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice section of steel bridge girders.
• Match mark plates, as necessary.
• Walk with and guide the MI Jack; chain products to trucks; set blocking for loading and storing products.
• Use electric drills to drill holes where needed.
