About The Position

Otter Tail Power Company has an opening for a full-time Yard/Equipment Operator at Big Stone Power Plant, Big Stone City SD. Must have a high school education or equivalent. Successful applicant must have or be able to obtain a Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License. Must be able to work in all weather, in confined spaces, and at various heights; capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and wearing a respirator. Experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment is preferred. Will manage coal supply and operate and maintain scrapers, dozers, loaders, conveyors, plant buildings and grounds. Must be able to maintain accurate records. Applicants will be required to complete the EEI aptitude testing.
