About The Position

General Purpose Operate yard tractors and trucks within parking, yard, and docking areas to move, position, and park trailers in support of shipping and receiving operations. Transport equipment for service or repair as needed while following all safety, quality, and DOT requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly yard environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Move trailers based on operational priorities to support plant efficiency and production needs Hook, unhook, and shuttle trailers to docks, yard locations, and service departments Spot loaded and empty trailers at assigned dock doors for loading and unloading Connect loaded trailers to tractors for route and OTR drivers Maintain accurate trailer movement and inventory logs Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report equipment issues Perform preventive maintenance checks in the yard area Maintain a clean and sanitary work area Wash tractors and trailers as required for the location Comply with all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies Attend required driver training and workshops The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must meet all DOT and DFA Motor Vehicle Record requirements
Valid Class A CDL in state of residence
Knowledge of DOT transportation regulations
Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition
Basic computer and technology skills
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to change
Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Nice To Haves

Tractor/trailer experience within the last five years preferred
Tanker endorsement required if preferred

Responsibilities
