About The Position

Shuttle required trailers to needed positions on company property while following all Tyson safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience in working as a yard driver in a warehousing/manufacturing facility required.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment .

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months experience driving a forklift/pallet jack preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be willing and able to follow all safety rules and plant GMPs.
  • Maintain trailer seal log.
  • Must be willing and able to check and fuel refrigerated trailers.
  • Must be willing and able to shuttle trailers to needed docks and/or alternate locations.
  • Must be willing and able to maintain Daily Trailer Inventory Sheets.
  • Report any damage or needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Must be willing and able to keep equipment clean and orderly at all times.
  • Must be willing and able to cross-train as a Material Handler.
  • Must be willing and able to assist with housekeeping in the yard and dock areas.
  • Must be willing and able to perform any additional duties as needed to assist the department.
  • Must be willing and able to maintain Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
  • Must be willing and able to use problem solving skills and work well under pressure.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate verbally with team members.
  • Must be willing and able to operate equipment safely.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally throughout shift.
  • Team members in this job classification shall experience prolonged exposure to temperature extremes ranging from 60 degrees to 120 degrees F with moderate noise levels.
  • Exhibit comfort in navigating small footprints and close environments.
