About The Position

Job Details: Caseyville Illinois plant is currently not accepting rehires at this time. The starting pay for this position is $19.35/hr. We currently have an opening on first shift. WORK SCHEDULE: Work Monday thru Friday or as needed; some weekend work may be required. Tyson is currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with an $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines. With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products and the expansion will further develop our capabilities. POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for moving trailers in and out of loading areas, assist in the warehouse with material handling and shipping/receiving responsibilities. Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must maintain a valid driver’s license at all times while in the position. Associate must meet requirements to operate powered industrial trucks safely. Associate must meet requirements to operate tractors and move trailers safely in a confined yard area with excellent night vision. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months One-year relevant trailer spotting experience Six months pallet jack/fork lift experience CDL preferred, not required.
