The role involves driving switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks to transport goods or equipment to and from designated locations. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe docking area, loading and unloading trailers, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and efficient dock operation by switching trailers and equipment to and from docks.
• Maintain equipment fuel levels and refuel equipment during appropriate times.
• Load and unload trucks, verifying the count and condition of product. Report overages, shortages, and damages.
• Perform daily yard checks.
• Properly secure loads, ensuring loads are within local, state and federal guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and/or logs as required by policies and procedures.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. Notify supervision of current or anticipated repair needs.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Benefits

• Starting Pay: Up to $23.00 per hour
• An additional $.50 per hour for hours worked with start times between 5:30pm Friday and 9:30pm Sunday
