  • Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer).
  • Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation, as well as any other necessary paperwork.
  • Meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and Drivers.
  • Follow company safety policies/procedures and encourages other Associates to do the same.
  • Provide outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Must have working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, and can adhere to these rules.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with other associates.
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness, get in and out of the cab on your own, and safely drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current Class A CDL and have a current DOT medical card.
  • Must be approved by the compliance department on all DOT and Saddle Creek Transportation requirements prior to driving for Saddle Creek Transportation.
  • Must pass a road test.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record per policy.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screenings, background checks, and achieve acceptable responses in Previous Employment Verifications.
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience driving a tractor-trailer in the past 3 years.
