About The Position

The position involves assisting customers in the yard area and operating, loading, and unloading heavy and industrial equipment from trucks. The individual will direct transport drivers on where and when to load and unload equipment, review bill of ladings for accuracy, and complete necessary shipping documents. Maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating machine deliveries with the sales group and customers is essential. The role also includes using digital tools to document the condition of returned equipment, measuring tire conditions, and inspecting equipment for operational deficiencies. Additional responsibilities include operating a forklift, rigging loads for movement, and performing maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and jump-starting equipment. The position may also require grading and maintaining the equipment yard, snow removal, and ensuring safety in the yard environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical background and/or training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Previous experience operating industrial equipment preferred.
  • Experience processing and handling shipping documents and bills of lading preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in the yard area.
  • Operate, load, and unload heavy and industrial equipment from trucks.
  • Direct transport drivers on loading and unloading equipment.
  • Review bill of ladings for accuracy.
  • Complete manufacturer and Wyoming Machinery Company shipping documents.
  • Maintain accurate record of inventory.
  • Coordinate machine deliveries and receipts with the sales group and customers.
  • Use a digital camera and/or Apple iPad to record the condition of returned equipment.
  • Document damage on equipment and incoming loads.
  • Accurately measure and record tire tread, tire condition, air pressure, machine condition, and undercarriage measurements.
  • Operate and inspect equipment for deficiencies in operation.
  • Document damages on equipment loads.
  • Check oil levels, antifreeze levels, and service fluids as needed.
  • Jump-start equipment.
  • Operate a forklift to move equipment and accessories.
  • Rig loads for movement by crane or forklift.
  • Operate, demonstrate, and evaluate equipment for condition and recommend required repairs.
  • Handle warranty and shipping paperwork.
  • Grade and maintain the equipment yard.
  • Plow snow and remove debris in yard and parking lots.
  • Ensure the yard is safe and free of debris and tripping hazards.
  • Maintain/control weeds and vegetation on property.
  • Identify and store inventory in the yard.
  • Use a high-pressure washer/steam cleaner to clean equipment in the wash bay.
  • Take oil samples from machine components.
  • Install decals, MMT stickers, and unit numbers on equipment.
  • Install temporary license tags on truck trailers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
