About The Position

Responsible for yard cleanliness, yard safety, and bi-weekly reporting. Interacts with Operations Supervisor on reporting and any issues. Cross functions with Dispatch in the office.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic computer skills preferred
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Inspecting trailers and the intermodal yard.
2 hour temp/fuel checks of trailers/equipment.
This position will be responsible for the sweeping of trailers and assisting with other yard cleaning duties as required.
Inputting information into computers and preparing reports, research, review, and record trailer inventory.
This position is primarily operating in the yard.
Requires outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
Administrative duties (paperwork, etc.)
Any other tasks or duties as assigned.
Involve Safety team as required by location.
Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.
Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
